Prayer needed….

October 22, 2008 · Filed Under Uncategorized · 2 Comments

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that we would really appreciate your prayers as we finish of our eight month sabatical to the USA.  It has been a wonderful year but it is time to head into what God has for us in the future.  Please pray for our remaining two weeks in America.  There is alot that needs to happen and my family is worn out from eight months of living like gypsies!  Please pray for Arielle and Zoe’s transition into another unfamilar place and people.   Also, please pray for all of our needs as we make this transition.  Any of you that have moved international (that includes moving in and out of Texas) will know that you must start from scratch.  New friends, new culture, new car and kitchen appliances….. the list goes on.  However, the biggest request we ask for is that you would pray for God’s direction and leading in our lives.  As we follow Him he will reveal His ways and paths, please pray with us for His will!

Cheers, Price Family

Sailing the Ocean Blue

Eight months ago we embarked on an unknown voyage across the sea!  I suppose like Christopher Columbus we half way greeted our friends, not knowing if it was “goodbye” or “see you later”.  Christopher Columbus had many people telling him he was crazy and that he would sail right off the edge of the world.  We on the other hand felt many times like we were sailing into a unsure future but had people all around us and on both sides of the ocean encouraging us that the world is round and we will make our way through to the other side!

One of the best experiences this year of stepping aside from life as we normally know it has been the opportunity to realize the need for those kind of relationships.  Trusting God’s direction, we placed ourselves this year completely in the “bodies” hands.  Many times Anneke and I felt useless and volatile.  We didn’t work  (for the most part), we lived in other peoples houses and ate other peoples food.  I pride myself in helping others not live on welfare in Africa and here we are…. But we realized at the end, true wealth in in community.  We found ourselves proclaiming how much we need the body and know that even though we are saying goodbye to our friends in Zambia and the USA, that we head out part of a Team!

Africa has been home to us for six years now but now we are going back trusting God for new beginnings!  We know that God is leading us step by step and as we follow Him, He will reveal the path.

Step one: Fly back to RSA and visit the 10,000 Homes Project………..(Get some quality time with the other African Price family!!)  We do not plan on living like gypsies forever.  Please pray with us as we look for a new place to call home.

Cheers, Price Family

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to update you on our immediate travel plans. We are traveling to West Texas on Sunday, Oct. 5th where we will spend some time with my parents in Gruver. We also plan to visit family and friends in the South Plains and Colorado later in the month of oct.

We then fly to Philadelphia for two days on Nov. 3 to visit friends. They will drive us to New York where we depart on Emirates Airlines, Nov. 5. We have a two day layover in Dubia visiting a friend there and then on to Johannesburg on Nov. 8. We plan to visit my brother and thier ministry first and then on to anneke’s hometown for Christmas break.

It is amazing to think we were here for almost seven months, the time has passed so fast. However we are ready to return home to Africa and excited about what God is doing in our lives.

God Bless, Price Family
