Sailing the Ocean Blue

Eight months ago we embarked on an unknown voyage across the sea!  I suppose like Christopher Columbus we half way greeted our friends, not knowing if it was “goodbye” or “see you later”.  Christopher Columbus had many people telling him he was crazy and that he would sail right off the edge of the world.  We on the other hand felt many times like we were sailing into a unsure future but had people all around us and on both sides of the ocean encouraging us that the world is round and we will make our way through to the other side!

One of the best experiences this year of stepping aside from life as we normally know it has been the opportunity to realize the need for those kind of relationships.  Trusting God’s direction, we placed ourselves this year completely in the “bodies” hands.  Many times Anneke and I felt useless and volatile.  We didn’t work  (for the most part), we lived in other peoples houses and ate other peoples food.  I pride myself in helping others not live on welfare in Africa and here we are…. But we realized at the end, true wealth in in community.  We found ourselves proclaiming how much we need the body and know that even though we are saying goodbye to our friends in Zambia and the USA, that we head out part of a Team!

Africa has been home to us for six years now but now we are going back trusting God for new beginnings!  We know that God is leading us step by step and as we follow Him, He will reveal the path.

Step one: Fly back to RSA and visit the 10,000 Homes Project………..(Get some quality time with the other African Price family!!)  We do not plan on living like gypsies forever.  Please pray with us as we look for a new place to call home.

Cheers, Price Family
